“I know…it’s so boring..” Once again, he seemed to appear out of nowhere.
“..Right? And lonely.. It’s been quiet for too long..” She didn’t seem too fazed by him appearing out of nowhere.
“You can say it’s because of a vow I made a long time ago.”
“A vow? So that’s why you want to protect me?”
“Sounds a bit cliche I know, but it’s true. Well…it’s a bit of two different vows, but both the same in essence.”
“…I see. But I don’t need protection. I can take care of myself… It’s how it’s always been, and always will be.”
“……” A frown crossed his face as he stared at his surroundings. ”..I’m in.. Iwatodai, it seems. Did I come here by accident?”
“…Dammit, I’m lost. How did this happen? I took a right and then another right…” The man’s voice trailed off as he tried to recall just how he became lost. Looking around he noticed a boy standing alone. Since there was no one else around he approached him asking “Hey kid, where are we? I’m a bit lost here.”
He’d known this place from his memories, before the crucial part that was missing from his memories after saving a dear friend of his. Though knowing this was true, that he was missing memories, he continued to stare at his surroundings as if he never expected to see them again.
Taking a look over his shoulder when he was approached, he didn’t allow his expression to change as he looked at the man. “Iwatodai, near Tatsumi Port Island Station.” He replied, spotting the familiar white. Immediately skirting his attention from the man to the familiar white, he walked over to the cat and knelt down, petting it a few times before it ultimately ran away from him again.
