They’d lost contact a long time ago, once Rieka had said goodbye and never turned back. Never looked back at the man who had shown her the right way to go.
She didn’t hate him. She barely even cared. It didn’t seem like the black-haired girl cared at one bit. Perhaps it was just because she’d locked herself away. She didn’t know why, but she didn’t want to go back. They’d lost touch for some time.
It really didn’t bother her. She had studies to get to and had to pass at the top of her class. She had to.
Her mother did, so why couldn’t she?

Ask and ye shall receive.
Ruki I hope you don’t mind I took a leaf out of your book
I have no idea where this was going. It just happened. Princess female!Leon, perhaps?

There goes the tears. Thanks.. now I’m going to cry on the inside because crying in front of people is really wrong…
But thank you, really. I’ve been so down about my blog because of people’s rules that it’s making me a bit sad.
I’m going to go cry in private now. Thanks, you sweetie.

“…I guess how kind he was when he was caring for me that one day.”
Wow, this is wicked but so great to read. o-o
Really? Yay! I really enjoyed writing it. =D

Oh, how dearly she would miss the babbling of this man whom now laid flat on the ground. Death by suffocation. Poisons were oh so good to work with, now weren’t they?
“Look, Yuna.” She looked to the stuffed cat and smiled. “You’ve got a friend. Now let me just.. stop this body from decomposition and fix it up a bit, all right?”
leonthedriftingwanderer-archive ; "Is something wrong, dear...?" The male asked a bit worriedly, gesturing with a few pats on his tights for allowing his daughter to sit on him. "You can tell me..." (Heyo, friend, it's been awhile! ^-^ ) |
The child stared at him, shaking her head slowly. She’d just been relieved of babysitting by the people who employed her under-the-table. She knew better than to trust a stranger.
”..No, nothing’s wrong…” She lied, knowing full well the money in her pocket wouldn’t go to what she wanted but to the bills that were declining again. “I’m just coming home from a friend’s.”
[Friend! =D it’s been too long!]
She stared at him, crimson eyes wandering from his face to the wall. Of course he’d figure it out. Lying wasn’t one of her best traits, it seemed. “Lying is wrong and the truth means you get a less-harsh punishment.” She recited, a bored tone in her voice.
“But, it isn’t as if it matters. Either way, I get punished, correct?” Walking past her father, she found and envelope and shoved the money she earned into it before writing in a tiny scrawl:
For bills. Do not use unless paying bills.
“…Friends gave me money.” Putting it on the table, she stared, waiting.
“Hmm?”
Gazing towards the envelope she was holding and noticing the small writing, his face softened a bit after that.
“Did they do this for… us?” Realizing this was the only reason he could think of.

She sighed. “Yes, they did.. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I have homework to do…” With that, she headed for her room.
“Dinner’s in the fridge. I made it before I left..”
