“Don’t care. Don’t care at all.”

she could tell her self she didn’t care
tell herself that it was only a temporary thing.
though she couldn’t stop the tears, she didn’t
seem to have a change of expression, still
smiling as if nothing was wrong.

                                     “–It’s my fault anyway.”

she looked to the ceiling and gave a short nod,
as if she was trying to make herself understand
that everyone leaves all the time. It was no
different from what she’d done to her father.

walking to the bathroom and washing her face
she looked at herself in the mirror. had she really
done something to chase both her mother and
brother off? like made them angry at her or
                    something?

                                     “..Who would want me, anyway?
                                      I’m just a child that should’ve died
instead of my mother. That’s all I am.”

she walked to the bathroom door and locked it,
proceeding to the other end and sliding down the
wall after putting her back to it, covering her face
                     and allowing herself to cry.

“Everything that happens is my fault.
                                        Everything.”

and it was a heavy burden that her own father
had placed on her during their years of arguments
                     and fighting.
